Introduction

Is it time to deconstruct jobs and how do we do that?

On this episode Linda Nazareth is joined by Ravin Jesuthasan, co-author of the Wall Street Journal bestseller Work Without Jobs How to Reboot Your Organization’s Work Operating System.

They talk about why it may be time for a radically new way of looking at work and why the systems we have now around work are out-dated. Going forward, we may need to think in terms of a new “work operating system” that deconstructs jobs into their component parts and then reconstructs them in a way that reflects the skills and abilities of individual workers. As well, they talk about the need for continuous re-skilling of the workforce, and why that mean the degrees that might mean that the expensive educational degrees held in such high regard may not be quite as desirable in future.
